Favourite Photos of 2019 – Review of the Year
I thought I would actually get around to blogging about my year before it’s way too late! So I’ve had fun searching through all my folders of photos from this year, picking out a few favourites. I hope you enjoy seeing them collected together too…
Winter 2019:
Misty & frosty morning; view across the palace fields at Otford, Kent
Snowy view across Otford from Twitton, to Otford Mount
Purple crocus and sunshine
Spring 2019:
A couple of the pretty Spring flowers…
Baby bracken and bluebells, Ightham woods, Kent
Cow parsley, at Lullingstone Country Park, Kent
A couple from a family day out down to Dover Castle – we stopped for fish and chips for dinner at Deal on the way home, and missed a stunning sunset! Fortunately the colours stayed amazing and then a full moon rose over the pier opposite, so I could still take some photos before we left!
Full moon rising, just after sunset, over Deal Pier, Kent
Deal Pier, looking inland to Deal, Kent, just after sunset
Summer 2019:
One from a very rainy May half term in the Lake District…
Gloomy view over Lake Coniston, in the Lake District
I couldn’t not photograph this year’s poppies of course…
Poppies and wild chamomile, fields near Otford, Kent
Poppies and blue sky, fields near Otford, Kent
A couple of the gorgeous flowers at Riverhill Gardens, Sevenoaks, Kent:
Allium flowers, peony, and a bee
Pink roses and raindrops
And a couple from our holiday in the summer to Cornwall:
Surfers after sunset, low tide at Porthtowan beach, Cornwall
Harbour and Bay of St. Ives, looking across to Godrevy and the north Cornwall coast
Autumn 2019:
A few of the gorgeous Autumn leaves from this year, I love photographing these too!
Sunlit Autumn leaves, at Toys Hill, Kent
Backlit Autumn leaves, taken on the Green at Otford, Kent
The sun shining through woods near Ide Hill, Kent
And finally, back to the frosty mornings…
Frosty morning view to Otford Palace
Well there we go, a quick tour of a few of my favourite photos from this year. Mostly local, with a few from further afield. Quite a few flowers amongst the landscapes too, aren’t there!
Do you have a favourite of these? I can’t decide between the Cornish beach, the bluebells, and the poppies and chamomile!
If you’d like any as a framed print or canvas for your wall, so you can enjoy one all year round, then do let me know, I can do that for you of any of them. (We have a huge canvas of a very similar view of St. Ives that I took a few years ago, up on our living room wall, it looks fabulous!)
Or likewise as greetings cards, most of these will make their way into my card collection I expect, but I can make any for you specially, again just let me know. (And a few of the local views are in this year’s calendars, or may well be in there next year!)
Many thanks for all your support this year, whether you’ve been a customer, craft fair visitor, blog reader, follower on Instagram or Facebook, it is all very much appreciated. Here’s to another year in 2020 of more beautiful photographs that I love taking and you love seeing!
Jane 🙂 x
